Ep 3 Finding Humanity in the Hospital

When you're a patient in the hospital, it's especially hard to see outside of your own sphere of discomfort and fear. It's as if the experience completely takes over your mind and it's hard to think of anything else. But sometimes an opportunity arises to see the folks on the other side of the bed a bit more clearly.

My guest today is Grace Fauls Lombardo, a doula, mom of 3 and a breast cancer patient. Grace has a wickedly dark and witty sense of humor about what she's going through, and writes about it on her blog: https://grancer.blog

She tells the story of a hilarious role reversal while she was in the hospital after her mastectomy, where she ended up comforting a nurse amid a (not dangerous) bloodbath situation.
